Clay Refractory Mortar
Fire Clay
Item Code:A4101
Composition of clay refractory mortarClay refractory mortar is made from calcined clay (clinker), waste clay brick powder and combined clay (raw material). Clinker is major component of clay refractory mortar with content of about 75%~80%. Raw clay is a binder which its function is enhancing plasticity of the mortar and reduce breathability and water loss rate. However, the batching amount of raw clay cannot be too large, otherwise it will be easily cracked. The proper batching amount should be 20%~25%.
Application
Clay refractory mortar is mainly used in furnace body joint and repair of different kinds of furnace with clay brick masonry, such as blast furnace, hot air furnace, coke oven, soaking furnace, heat exchanger and boiler.Characteristics
Clay refractory mortar, as joint material, is able to adjust size deviation of bricks to make masonry structure regular with uniform load, and strengthen the masonry as a compact whole, so as to resist damages of external forces and avoid invasion of gas and molten liquid.
- Good plasticity and construction convenience.
- Sufficient bond strength to combine the masonry as a solid whole at working temperature;
- Low thermal conductivity.
